On August 5th, 2006 I got to marry the man of my dreams. We've lived in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and now in Lake Charles, LA where David is a Financial Rep for Northwestern Mutual and I work there also as the Director of Development. We bought a home and absolutely love where we are! In every city though, we've been so blessed to know amazing people and made friendships that will last a lifetime. For that, we are very grateful!

In October 2009, we both started feeling like we were ready for a baby! So of course, like many couples, we decided to "not try" and just see what would happen if we stopped preventing. By month 2 and no positive pregnancy tests, I was pretty frustrated. I had this HUGE desire in my heart to be a mom and trying to get pregnant was a harder game than I realized. I prayed alot and came to the realization that I cannot create life, only God can. I had to trust Him and know that His plans are so much greater than mine. I continued to pray and give it to the Lord and finally after 7 more dissapointing months, the stick finally read... +!!! We couldn't believe it... we were going to be parents!

I remember waking up at 5am on June 30th, 2010 to take the test. When it immediately said yes, my eyes filled with tears because I knew this was one of the biggest blessings in my life and that my prayers had been answered once again. I ran to wake up David and asked if he was ready to be a daddy. He of course was so excited and couldn't go back to sleep either. We fixed a bowl of cereal and ate it in the bed as we discussed how we would tell everyone. We agreed on waiting for 2 weeks. By lunch, we had pretty much texted every one in our phone!

I have felt great throughout the pregnancy and even continued to teach my aerobics classes up until 36 weeks. The Doc said it was good for her, so I figured I might as well! Now, with only 2 weeks left until her arrival, we are more excited than ever, which is why I started this blog. We have a lot of friends and family out of town and I want to keep all of you posted on BABY JOY!

Thanks for loving us! We are so blessed to know you!
